Import songs from CSV adds songs from a CSV file to the current repertoire. Choose a file, map its columns to song fields and review the preview before importing.

Open the import

Open Songs under Repertoire in the side menu.
Select Import, then From CSV….

Available in a band and an artist profile, on every subscription level. Contributor or higher.

The title is Import songs from CSV. The import stays in this dialog through file selection, column mapping, preview and the result.

Choose a file

Select Choose CSV file and choose a UTF-8 CSV file with column headers. Use up to 1,000 data rows per import. Split larger lists into separate files.

Map columns

The app matches familiar column headers automatically, including Title, Song, Artist, Band, Album, Key, BPM and Genre. Check each mapping and select the column containing that field. Choose (not mapped) for optional fields you do not want to import. Title must be mapped.

Field	What to import
Title	The song title.
Artist	The performing artist. The title and artist together identify duplicates.
Album	The album title. The import finds or creates the album and attaches the song to it.
Release date	The album's release date, for example 2024-05-17. A year such as 2024 becomes 1 January of that year; a year and month such as 2024-05 becomes the first day of that month.
Key	The song's key, as text.
Tempo	A numeric tempo.
Duration	Minutes and seconds, hours, minutes and seconds, or a number of seconds: 3:45, 1:02:03 or 225.
Tags	Tags separated by commas or semicolons. In a comma-separated CSV, quote a cell containing commas.

Preview and import

Select Preview. The table shows the first five rows with their mapped title, artist, album, release date, key, tempo and tags.
Review the mapped values. The count above the preview covers the whole file.
Select Import n rows, where n is the number of data rows.
Select Close after importing to return to the refreshed repertoire.

The import adds songs; it does not update existing songs. Songs with the same title and artist are skipped, ignoring letter case, both against the repertoire and within the file.
