Import Contacts from CSV

Import Contacts from CSV imports a UTF-8 CSV file through column mapping, preview and import. It adds new entries and reports duplicates that were skipped. Contributor or higher.

Open the import

1. Open Contacts or Suppliers under Network.
2. Select Import in the page toolbar.

Header

The title identifies the directory. The supplier version is titled Import Suppliers from CSV and uses the same contact import steps.

Choose the file

Select Choose CSV file. The file needs a header row. Empty lines are skipped. Header aliases such as name, email and phone are mapped automatically when recognized. Review those mappings before importing.

Map columns

Select Preview to continue.

Category cells accept press, radio & tv, booker, promotion, network. Text containing radio, tv or television becomes Radio & TV; book becomes Booker; promo becomes Promotion; network becomes Network. Empty and unrecognized values become Press.

Preview and import

1. Review the first five rows and the total number of importable rows. Rows without a name are excluded from import.
2. Select Import n rows.
3. Read the number imported and the number skipped as duplicates, then select Close. The list reloads.

Cancel closes before import. Importing needs an internet connection.
