The Finance tab shows the result of the gig's terms: the Statement with the gross fee, the costs and what is due to each party, the merchandise sold at the gig, and the invoices related to it. From here you also create the invoice for the gig. The tab is read-only; the numbers come from the Terms tab.
Open the Finance tab
- Open Gigs from the side menu and select a gig. See Gig details.
- Select the Finance tab in the bar below the banner.
The tab is shown to a Financial admin or Admin, for a gig of the active workspace.
Statement
The statement is calculated while you type on the Terms tab, so it matches the terms before they are saved. Hover over a tile, or focus it, for the calculation behind its amount. Gig terms, deal types and fees explains each calculation with worked examples.
| Tile | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Gross fee | The guaranteed fee plus the artist's share of the tickets sold so far, according to the deal type. |
| Costs | The total of the cost lines. |
| Nett. fee | The gross fee minus the costs that the artist and the agency bear together. |
| Recharged to venue | Costs the venue bears, billed on top of the fee, less what the venue paid up front for someone else. Shown only when the amount is not zero. |
| Due to booker, Due to agency, Due to record label, Due to manager | One tile for each party that has a fee share, or a cost it bears or paid up front. The amount is the party's fee shares, with the costs it bears taken off and the costs it paid up front added. |
| Due to artist | What remains for the artist after the costs and every fee share. This is the amount the participant splits divide. |
Merchandise sold
When merchandise was sold at this gig, a card Merchandise sold shows the net amount and the number of items, for example 3 items · excl. VAT. It does not change the statement or the invoice.
Related invoices
The section Related invoices lists the invoices created for this gig. Each row shows the status (Draft, Sent, Paid or Void), the invoice number, the issue date and the total. Open invoice opens the invoice.
Create invoice
The button Create invoice appears when the gig has no invoice yet and the festival or venue has an organisation name. It needs a Financial admin or Admin role. In a band:
- Select Create invoice.
- In Create invoice for this gig?, check the name. The text reads: a draft invoice addressed to that name is created, pre-filled with this gig's booking fee and details.
- Select Create invoice. The new draft opens so you can review it.
In an artist profile, the button first asks whom to bill: the festival or venue, the band you played with, or another contact. See Gig terms, deal types and fees for the lines the draft starts with, and how Invoice mode changes them.
Note
Once an invoice for the gig exists, the button is not shown again. A sent or paid invoice makes the terms read-only. Void a sent invoice to edit the terms again.
