Gage declaration (Belastingdienst) fills in the Belastingdienst's gage declaration form (Model gageverklaring) for one to five gigs, as a PDF to hand to the client. It is available for a band whose country is the Netherlands. This article covers the dialog and the second item in the same menu, Complete a gageverklaring from file.
Open the gage declaration
- Open Gigs from the side menu, under Planning.
- Tick the gigs the declaration covers.
- Select Documents in the toolbar, then Gage declaration (Belastingdienst).
The menu is shown to a Financial admin or Admin, in a band whose country has a gage declaration, with the plan feature Documents for gigs (itinerary, contract, settlement) (Band Silver, Band Gold). The item stays grey while the selection does not fit the rules, and its tooltip says which rule:
| Tooltip | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Select 1 to 5 gigs with the same lineup | Nothing is selected. |
| A gage declaration lists at most 5 gigs | More than five gigs are selected. |
| The selected gigs must have the same lineup | The participants differ between the selected gigs. |
| Every selected gig needs at least one participant | A selected gig has no participants. |
What the PDF contains
The dialog says what the PDF is prefilled with: the group name, the lineup, the performances, the total gross fee and each member's split. The gage of a gig is its gross fee plus the costs the venue reimburses. The members' amounts come from the fee splits set on the Participants tab.
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Question 1 (representative) | Taken from the Financial profile. When the profile has no name, your own name is used, and the dialog says that the representative must be a natural person. |
| Gage for the group | A table with Group and the number of members, the Split of the members, what goes In the PDF and, when chosen, the Beschikking and Cost scheme. |
| Still to divide | Shown when the splits do not use the whole gage. The dialog notes Commission, fee shares and costs stay part of the gage. Choose how to divide it. Divide the remainder offers In proportion to the splits or Equally over the members. You must choose one before you can download. |
| Cost scheme | Shown when the country's rules offer one. Options: None, Kleinevergoedingsregeling (an amount per member per performance, shown in the option) and Kostenvergoedingsbeschikking. For the beschikking, enter Ruling amount (whole euros) and Reference of the beschikking; the dialog notes Give the client a copy of the beschikking. The beschikking must be turned on in the accounting profile first. Only one cost scheme can apply at a time. |
| Still to fill in in the PDF | Lists what the app does not hold: birth date and BSN (question 1), address, birth date and BSN of the members, signatures and date. |
Warnings can appear above the form: Member splits are incomplete, Invoiced with VAT (artists under the artiestenregeling may not charge VAT) and Artist costs exceed [amount] per member (consider a kostenvergoedingsbeschikking). Each lists the gigs concerned. The dialog also links the Belastingdienst's manual, Handleiding Loonheffingen 2022.
Complete with a local member file
The optional section Complete with a local member file (Optional) fills in the personal data the app does not hold. Pick a CSV or Excel file with BSN, birth date and address. The file is merged into the PDF in your browser; gigBuddy never receives it.
- Select Download member file template to get the columns.
- Fill the template in and select Choose member file. Choose another file replaces it and Remove file clears it.
- The dialog shows Matched with the file: the representative, the members Found, Not in the file and No BSN, and rows that match no member and are ignored.
When no file is used, the member column stays blank and the client divides the gage equally.
Select Download to create the PDF. The form fields stay editable.
Complete a gageverklaring from file
The item Complete a gageverklaring from file in the same Documents menu adds the member file to a declaration you made earlier.
- Select Choose PDF and pick a gage declaration made by gigBuddy. Choose another PDF replaces it. The dialog shows [n] members in this PDF. When the PDF has no member list from gigBuddy, members are matched by name.
- Choose the member file, as above.
- Select Complete and download. The PDF is completed in your browser and downloaded again.
