The Terms tab holds the deal agreed for a gig: the deal type, ticket terms, costs, fee shares and taxes. The calculations that follow from them are on the Finance tab. This article describes the tab. Gig terms, deal types and fees explains how each deal type, cost structure and fee share is calculated, with worked examples. Field changes save automatically.

Open the Terms tab

  1. Open Gigs from the side menu and select a gig. See Gig details.
  2. Select the Terms tab in the bar below the banner.

The tab is shown to a Financial admin or Admin, for a gig of the active workspace. Editing needs the same roles. In an artist profile the tab also shows My fee for a gig played with a band (see below).

Locked terms

When an invoice for the gig has been sent, a notice at the top says Invoice [number] was sent on these terms, so they are read-only. Void the invoice to edit them again. When the invoice is paid, the notice says Invoice [number] was paid on these terms, so they are read-only. A paid invoice cannot be voided. The number links to the invoice. A draft invoice does not lock the terms.

My fee

In an artist profile, a gig with a band shows My fee at the top of the tab. It holds your own deal for that gig, apart from the band's: Deal type, which is always Flat fee here, and Guaranteed fee, which you can edit. When the band has recorded a split for you, the help text under the fee reads Split by the band: [amount]. This section needs a Financial admin or Admin role in the artist profile. It is read-only once an invoice for the gig has been sent or paid.

Tickets to break evenThe number of tickets at which the artist's share starts, and the break-even amount.
Expected upsideThe artist's share at the Expected visitors.

Costs

One line per cost. Each line has Cost, Amount, Incurred by and Paid by; Add adds the line and the delete button removes it. Total costs sums the lines. Who bears a cost, who paid it up front and how it reaches the statement and the invoice is explained in Gig terms, deal types and fees.

Fee shares

Fee shares determine how the gross fee is shared among a booker, agency, record label or manager. Each row has Party, Kind, a percentage or Fixed amount, Of, the calculated Amount and the switch On invoice. Rows can be dragged to reorder them. Add adds a row and Delete fee removes it. The fields are explained in Gig terms, deal types and fees.

Fee-share presets

A preset stores a set of fee-share rows for reuse by your band.

ActionWhat it does
Choose presetOpens a list of your presets. Each preset shows its rule, Gross fee above [amount]. A preset whose amount is lower than this gig's gross fee has a check mark, titled Matches the gross fee. Choosing one asks Replace all fee shares? and then replaces every row of this gig, including your edits.
Save as presetOpens Save as preset. Enter a Preset name and the amount Gross fee above, then Save. The preset stores the current rows. Later changes to the preset do not change other gigs.
Manage presetsOpens Manage presets, where each preset shows its rule, Edit preset changes its name, amount and rows, and Delete preset removes it. Edits apply to future gigs only; existing gig fee shares are kept.

Taxes

FieldWhat to enter
